Avram McCagherty Tri

Featuring virtuoso violinist Richard Mooday and virtuoso bassist Scott White!

In this special presentation, the Avram McCagherty Trio brings their flawless blend of personality, humor, and musicianship for a magical evening of traditional jazz.

Sean Fyfe Trio

In this special performance, Fyfe dives into the music of one of his most influential heroes, pianist and composer Cedar Walton. Walton gained fame with Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, and others in the 1950s and '60s, leaving behind a legacy of imaginative, quintessential jazz compositions.

For this occasion, Sean has assembled an all-star trio of long-time collaborators: the exceptional multi-instrumentalist (and on this occasion, drummer) John Lee and renowned bassist Louis Rudner.

Walk around and learn about JBUC’s many dynamic programs and activities, and how to get involved. These include social justice, music, community lunch, Thrift Shop, arts, gardening and climate action. When we work together, we make a difference!

There are no expectations. It’s a free event, open to everyone and on a drop-in basis from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Teams have set up tabletop displays to showcase their activities and volunteer opportunities. Enjoy your conversations with them as well as coffee/tea and treats.  

The JBUC Sunday Worship Choir invites everyone to join us for five services this spring, regardless of ability. A choir workshop will be held on Saturday, February 15. Rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday afternoons before each service, with practice files provided by email.
