Sunday WorshipJuly 28, 2024, 10:15 am Today, we arrive at the final reflection in our series with renowned American Rabbi Sharon Brous. We have explored her open-hearted wisdom on many vital aspects: how to navigate our journey together, the power of simply showing up, the impact of truly seeing one another, and recognizing the image of the Holy One in every person. Now, we face perhaps the most challenging call of all: finding ways to “stay at the table,” especially with those whose views and ways of being in the world dramatically collide with our own. It is, in fact, an invitation to train our hearts to see that we are all—our adversaries included—bound together. Presiding: André Fontaine For more infomation visit:

Calling Reverend Greg PowellJuly 28, 11:15 am Dear Members of James Bay United Church, We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Congregational Meeting. This is a vital opportunity for us to come together to make an important collective decision for the future of our church community. The meeting will entail a motion to call Reverend Greg Powell as our permanent minister. Your voice matters, and we encourage you to attend and participate in this vital decision-making process. For those who are unable to join us in person, we will continue streaming the service and you will be able to take part in the discussion and air your views. Unfortunately now that the United Church has moved to in person gatherings, post covid, the relaxed temporary rules allowing voting on-line have ended. People have to be present at the meeting in order to vote. Instructions for Using the YouTube Chat BoxFor those who are unable to join us in person, we will continue streaming the service, and you will be able to take part in the discussion and voting via the YouTube chat box.
