Born January 18, 1927 passed away peacefully at the James Bay Care Centre on October 1, 2016.
Frances was born in Westlock Alberta, and moved to Victoria as a young child. She spent most of her 89 years living in James Bay, and was often seen riding her bicycle throughout the neighbourhood. Frances was an avid gardener, and faithful volunteer at James Bay United Church and Thrift Shop, James Bay Care Centre, and at the seniors' dinners at the James Bay Community Centre. Predeceased by her husband Albert (Bert) in 1986, Frances is survived by a large circle of family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, independent spirit, positive outlook and great sense of humour.

Frances was lovingly remembered by her congregation during the service for All Saints on Oct. 30.
