Dear Congregation,

We are delighted to share an update from the recent congregational meeting held on July 28, 2024. For those who were unable to attend, here’s a recap of the significant developments.

Approximately 60 members gathered to receive and act upon the recommendations from our Search Team. D'Arcy McPherson, co-chair of the Search Team, presented a report outlining the steps that led to the recommendation, which was followed by a motion and a question-and-answer session.

We are thrilled to announce that the congregation voted to extend a call for permanent ministry to Reverend Greg Powell, effective August 12, 2024, as outlined in the report. Additionally, we have requested that the Pacific Mountain Regional Council approve this call.

The Search Team is expected to be disbanded following the covenanting service, marking the successful completion of their mission. If you have any questions or wish to review the report, please contact Candis in the church office.

Stay tuned for more information on how we will formally welcome Reverend Greg into our community. In the meantime, we ask for your prayers for Reverend Greg and his family, and for our entire community of faith as we embark on this new pastoral journey together.
