Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church presentsNYC vocalist Emily Braden with the Tony Genge Trio! - Tuesday, September 24, 7pm Former Victoria resident Emily Braden returns for a special concert after 15 years of gracing the stages of New York City’s finest jazz clubs! For this special concert, Emily reunites with longtime friends and musical collaborators Tony Genge, Scott White, and Kelby MacNayr for an evening of swinging jazz standards! Emily Braden is the winner of New York City's 'Best of the Best' Jazzmobile Vocal Competition and a two-time cultural ambassador with the US Embassy’s Arts Envoy Program. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Braden is a Harlem-based vocalist, songwriter, and lyricist who effortlessly blends jazz and soul to elevate the tradition and win the hearts of audiences around the world. Her NYC performances include Birdland Jazz Club, Blue Note Jazz Club (Groove Series), The 55 Bar, and Minton’s Playhouse. Her sophomore album, Cannon & Sparrow, a celebration of resilience, is slated for release in Spring 2023.
