Sunday WorshipJune 23, 10:15 am Explore the connections between readings from the Book of Samuel, the Book of Mark, and the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Reflect on the power of individual action and the transformative potential of small beginnings, resonating with Indigenous History Month. June is Indigenous History Month, and on the Sunday following Indigenous Peoples Day, join us to focus on how these stories from the Old and New Testament relate to our efforts toward reconciliation with Indigenous communities. This service aims to inspire learning, listening and action in support of healing and justice. Let’s come together to plant seeds of hope and work towards a more inclusive and compassionate future. Scripture: 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13, Mark 4:26-34 – Owen McCooey For more infomation visit:

Mask Requirement for Services
It has come to our attention that several people in our congregation have come down with COVID in the last week or so. Because of this, we are asking people to wear masks for upcoming service and the next few Sundays (until further notice). For those who cannot wear masks, we are happy to offer seating in the balcony. And be assured that we will have the Sanctuary well-ventilated with fans, open windows and doors. Sad but true that COVID is still with us … and we want to do all we can to protect one another! We are actively working to ensure that the Sanctuary is well-ventilated as a precautionary measure. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we prioritize the safety of our congregation. Thank you for your continued support and adherence to these guidelines. Upcoming Healing Pathway Events at JBUC
It's been a refreshing journey since our last Healing Pathway practice group and soaking prayer session. April's Healing Pathway Worship service, beautifully led by Kam McKim, left a lasting impact on many of us. Due to my absence in May, we regrettably couldn't offer our soaking prayer, but I'm thrilled to announce that this Sunday, June 23rd, after service in the sanctuary, we will resume with soaking prayer. Your presence, especially our HP practitioners, would be invaluable in creating a healing atmosphere. Additionally, mark your calendars for our Monthly Practice Group on Wednesday, June 26th, at 3:30 pm in the Sanctuary. Join us as we practice HP techniques and share in the healing collective energy. Wishing you nourishment in the weeks ahead. With gratitude, Carol |
