The Benches.

The new benches out on the front patio have been installed.  Maybe you've even experienced them for yourself.  They were crafted by Thor Sende, a local artist who works in metal, and who made this piece a labour of love.  

It was on a bus ride to Vancouver that Marg Lunam met him ... got into conversation with this stranger, who along the way spoke of the project he was heading over to the mainland to finish up.  That was enough then for Bev Tracey to follow-up with him, and together they arrived at the design.  

Thor will be around doing a little more work for us when the April showers subside.  Maybe you've noticed the rusty railing as you go down the ramp to the patio ... a beautiful transformation awaits us!  

Meantime ... enjoy the seat out front. (Should you be flying out of the Kelowna airport, the metal/glass installation as you approach the departure area ... that's "our Thor"!!!)
