Keeping in Touch - April 24, 2017

Good morning James Bay United Church,

A brief note this morning to relay 2 requests:

1. regarding the Thrift Shop  ... 

The hard-working volunteers at the James Bay United Church Thrift shop are hungry! They love to gather at noon around the table upstairs and share a meal brought to them by yet another volunteer – a cook, this time.  Thank you Norma Hill and Betty Roberts!  It could be soup and bread in the cold weather, or sandwiches and salad when it’s warm outside. If you could imagine yourself providing a noon time meal once or twice a month, please speak with Judy or Aleksa via email or phone 250 384 6986. Or better yet, speak with Betty Roberts.

2.  regarding Sunday morning coffee time after the service ...

It seems more and more people are choosing to stay a while after the service to connect.  This is Wonderful!  AND for this Sunday we have no one signed up to host.  In this last while we've had someone arriving a little early to set-up; someone bringing some food; and someone on deck for washing up.  If you could lend a hand for any part of this for this Sunday in particular, or any Sunday in May, please send a note to Vanya in the office, and she'll gladly put your name on the roster.  Many thanks.
