Journey Through History

As we approach the centennial celebration of the United Church of Canada, we are excited to launch a series of historical displays that will be showcased throughout the year. These exhibits are designed to take us on a journey through the rich and diverse history of our church, offering a deeper understanding of the faith and dedication that have shaped our community.

Our current display, the first in this series, focuses on the foundational elements of the United Church of Canada and the early beginnings of James Bay United Church. Originally established as James Bay Methodist Church in 1891, our church has been a cornerstone of the community for over a century, evolving and growing alongside the people it serves.
