If you happen by the church building, you’ll notice signs posted with safety protocols for occupying the building.  It’s a glimpse of the baby steps we are beginning to take.  It is NOT however an invitation to come on in! 

So, what's happening?

We’re starting with the smallest of groups. Tuesday Night Jazz will begin to work on its next move which involves some recording in the sanctuary. Wednesday Morning Prayer will begin again in a couple of weeks in the sanctuary. The Garden Team will have access to the building for tools. Vanya will move some of her work back to the church office. (FYI – a huge part of Vanya’s work these last months has been related to our financial affairs, among which has been sorting out, applying for, and keeping up with the government subsidy programs, and forecasting our overall financial picture.) Once I return from 2 weeks of holiday, I too will be working a little more from the church office. Daniel, as you may be aware, has already been recording some music for Sunday mornings from the sanctuary in recent weeks.   

Our task is to make these moves while strictly observing the safety protocols that have been vetted by our United Church Regional Council and given the green light by the Board. They reflect both Work Safe standards and the provincial health requirements. 

As we live into these next steps it will give us a good feel for the ones that will come next.
