The United Church of Canada has launched the Extreme Hunger Appeal in response to the humanitarian crisis in Nigeria, South Sudan, Somalia, Yemen and Kenya. The Federal Government has announced that donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to June 30. There are a number of options available to us for making our donations, including through our church office, in which case cheques are made out to The United Church of Canada, General Council Office, noting on the cheque Extreme Hunger Appeal.
These cheques will be gathered up and sent together by the June 30 matching donation deadline.
