With Respect in Creation.
The Anthem Choir will be performing our first anthem of our new season on Sunday! We will be performing "With Respect in Creation" by United Church minister and sacred music composer David Kai. This moving anthem, which draws on our new creed for its poetry, reminds us of the urgency of human made climate change and is a call to radically adjust our relationship with the world. This piece is a timely reminder that this world is a gift to us, meant to serve God's plan, not our own selfish wants and desires.
This hymn received an honourable mention for the United Church’s Earth Day Sacred Song Contest and the Pax Christi Chorale hymn competition.
