PRIDE WEEK

Victoria Pride Week this year begins June 30 culminating with the celebratory Pride Parade on July 7. Plans are underway for United Church congregations of Victoria to walk together. Watch for more details. Ever wonder what’s the point?

The Victoria Pride Society who organizes the event holds up this as their vision and mission: “a world free of discrimination, violence, and ignorance, in which all people, through education, equality, and safety are empowered to lead full, authentic lives. Our main objective is to inspire full inclusion within the Pride Community and society at large through visibility, collaboration, ongoing conversation and celebration.”
