Hello friends,

We are doing it again: On November 29th, we will be meeting at 12 Noon, at Centennial Square and marching to the the Ministry of Fracking (Ministry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum Resources) for the next Global Climate Strike.

For this strike, we’d like to send a strong and specific message to our local and provincial governments. We need to keep fossil fuels in the ground. In BC that means ending fracked LNG. We need the government to fund a Green New Deal, not to sell our futures off for the highest profit.

The focus of our strike is: Stop LNG! Our Future is Not for Sale!

We hope you’ll join us. Bring your friends, kids, family, and coworkers, and bring noisemakers because we plan to make a ruckus.

How you can help?

We can’t do it alone! Here are some ways we are looking for help to make an epic strike:

Come to the volunteer meeting
We need many hands on deck to help with:

  • Putting up posters
  • Outreach to bring more people to the strike
  • Street team: building the movement by collecting donations and getting people signed up
  • Marshalling the march route to keep everyone safe

If you can help with any of these things, come to the volunteer meeting:
Wednesday November 20, 6:30 - 8:00pm - First Metropolitan United Church, Room 200

We will also be giving updates on the movement and practicing chants!
