We are pleased to welcome Samuel Shanbo He and Jennifer Mitchell as they come together for the first time to perform on the evening of July 17th at 7:30pm! Both locally grown musicians, come and enjoy an evening of music where a diverse program awaits - including works by Mozart, Debussy, Carter and more.

This performance will include Carl Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto - a highly demanding work that depicts the struggles of bipolar disorder; originally dedicated to Danish clarinetist Aage Oxenvad in 1928 who had bipolar disorder himself.

We acknowledge that we are occupying unceded land of the Coast Salish, Lekwungen speaking people who have been sustained in body, mind and spirit through their relationship with this land for thousands of years. We are grateful to be part of a congregation that is hearing the call to continue learning of our colonial history and the on-going impacts of our privilege, and taking up the challenging and healing work toward reconciliation.
