Putting our words into action:

“grateful to be part of a congregation that is continuing to learn of our colonial history and taking up the healing and challenging work toward reconciliation.”

On March 9th, 2- 3:30 pm we have an opportunity to put our words into action as we engage with key leaders of RAVEN

Respecting Aboriginal Values & Environmental Needs (RAVEN) - is a powerfully effective organization whose mission is to raise legal defence funds for Indigenous Peoples in Canada to defend rights and the integrity of lands and cultures.

Come spend an afternoon with RAVEN’s Campaigns and Communications Directors who will cover some basics of the colonial history of Canada and BC, the legal landscape relating to Indigenous people, the work of RAVEN and how this work is part of the larger Indigenous rights movement.

Hosted by First Unitarian Church of Victoria.  Join in person at 5575 West Saanich Rd or via zoom.  Either way, participants need to register using this link: https://raventrust.com/events/rooted-solidarity/
